One day, she bluntly said, ” I did love you.”
But she hid the part that said, “… and still, forever.”
Being surprised by her confession, he simply answered, “Thanks.”
But he hid his words that said, “… sorry, I have never loved you.”
And that day,
she was simply,
rejected.
