I Have A Dream, Too

I have a dream, too
But must walk across the stage,
But in order to do that,
I must leave this day and age,
I’ll leave friendships and bonds
With friends old and new,
It’s gone by so fast,
It doesn’t seem true,
I’ve become a better person
It’s been so much fun,
And it seems like I’ve gone from a walk to a run,
I have a dream for the future
But I fear too much change,
I fear once I move on
It won’t be the same,
A family, new friends, a house, and a car,
To go to that from this,
It just seems so far.
I wish it would stop
But it goes faster and faster,
The more I struggle
The less I seem to last here.
